Ope, we're just gonna go ahead and take our power back now dontcha know!
I'm going to get right to the details for this particular collection of jewelry- you've all been so patient as I get this together. I will also include more of my thoughts and how I came to releasing this collection in such an unusual way in another blog post.
This collection is NOT for sale, you cannot purchase it and I will not profit from protest either. You can acquire one of these pieces by getting engaged. My hope is this offer to collaborate with me leads to many, many more acts of civil engagement- may it inspire you to take action in intentional and meaningful ways. I don't want your activism to stop when you wear these pieces of jewelry. Adorn yourself to empower yourself.
If that lit a flame in your heart and soul, here's how you can get one of these pieces for FREE from me:
Step One: Reach out via email, Facebook, or Instagram and let me know which piece of jewelry you want from the photo/list below- please be descriptive or send a screenshot with it circled. I'll confirm your request and start the timer- you get ONE HOUR to complete STEP TWO. I will start a wait list of other requests of the same item and will move on to the next in line if I do not hear back from you within that hour. *If you need a little more time (10-15 mins) please communicate with me.
Step Two: Donate the retail price shown (or more!) for the item you want to an organization, cause, or individual on the ground in Minneapolis MN. You can choose one or more groups, but the receipts must total the retail amount listed. I am specifically highlighting Mpls groups because the need is SO great right now, please choose from this list HERE.
*If you're in another state affected by ICE raids and feel strongly about keeping your money to help your local community, I respect that- just communicate with me and we'll work it out.
Step Three: EMAIL me with your receipts- these MUST include identification of where you donated to, total donation must add up to the retail amount of the jewelry, and include something to identify YOU; ie- your email, name, mailing address, etc...
Step Four: I'll confirm you've completed the task and send you info to my Venmo or Zelle and ask you to send me $10.95 to cover the shipping and handling for me to send the jewelry to you. *No local pickup at this time.
That's it- but here's a quick recap:
1- Pick the jewelry and tell me, it's on hold for 1 hour.
2- Donate the total retail price to 1 or more groups from the list.
3- Send me the receipts making sure it checks the needs listed above.
4- Follow my instructions to pay me the shipping + handling fee of $10.95

That's it! I did my best offer a handful of price points for you. I am giving my time/labor and material costs for this fundraiser- I will not profit from any of these pieces. I'm also unsure if I will make more, but if I do I will only offer them in this way.
My deepest hope if you take part in this, is that you research the organizations you donate to, understand their mission, and stay engaged- encourage more people to give to the cause that touched your heart, reach out to see if you can volunteer to help in other ways, stay on their mailing lists and keep learning. Let this lead you to more action, more civil engagement, more outreach- more love!
And please- listen to those organizing and follow their instructions, leave any ego or need for praise at the door. I'm saying this to myself as well, the only "praise" I want is for you to love your neighbors and get engaged.
In closing- I know this is unusual and inconvenient, but that's kind of the point. We must get comfortable with being uncomfortable or inconvenienced. We won't change the world with instant gratification, it will take time and work- and I know we can do it.
Love you all so much,
Christina
PS- if you take part in this I would absolutely LOVE it if you left a comment here on the blog, on my socials, and/or emailed to me to tell me about the organization, group, or person you donated to and why it touched your heart. This is not required, but it'd be wonderful to share- heck, it might inspire someone else to take action, and that's what we need!

Hell yes Christina. What a thoughtful, inspiring and action-oriented way to use jewelry for good. I am always trying to figure out how to best go about using our craft to bring awareness and encourage people to engage in fighting injustice. The way you’re releasing this collection is generous, bold and unapologetic. ✊🏼 🙌🏼
