2026 is here and let's be real- things feel pretty dark in our world and it's not just the winter season.
Unlike the seasons that shift as the days progress, this other darkness will take more effort on our part to come together and find the light in the shadows, so that we can keep that spark burning bright. We truly need all our efforts to come together to support each other and keep our neighbors and communities safe.
I don't have all the answers, I'm no authority on any of this- but I understand, at least a little, of my place in the gears that keep us working together and moving forward.
I'm here to remind you that you CAN do hard stuff. You my friend, you are not alone, you are stronger than you realize, you are powerful and full of magic. I'm here to remind you to reach out and connect- reject the notion of individualism and isolation- we are unstoppable when our numbers combine. We CAN do this, we CAN create a better, more just and more equitable world. Release the idea that this is out of reach- if we can dream it, we CAN do it.
To my Minnesota friends and family- firstly, you are SO much more to me than "fans and followers"- you are a part of my crew, you are pillars that supported me while I grew, and hearts that helped shape the person I am today. My roots are deeply connected all the way back cross the miles- I feel your pain, sorrow, and fears right now; and I too feel your love, your strength, and your will power to protect your people- shining through big and bright! You are the OG snowflakes- you care with the power of an early spring blizzard, we know intimately the power of millions of snowflakes that can shut down entires cities and whole regions of the state. If anyone can ice out ICE, Minnesota- it's you!
I will continue to rally for the world and encourage us all to keep going- consider me your cheerleader; and try not to laugh too hard at that, cause whoever thought I of all people would end up a cheerleader! ;)
