In July I made a pledge to donate 10% of my monthly sales to an organization that is working towards helping vulnerable or under represented people; or otherwise trying to change our world for the better of all. It's one small commitment I can make every month.
The organization that will receive 10% of my sales throughout the month of January is: Old Pueblo Community Services.
" Mission Statement: When people face homelessness, Old Pueblo Community Services offer housing, counseling and support services to help them transform their lives.
Vision Statement: We Envision a future in which all have the opportunity to reside in a safe affordable house and live meaningful, self-defined, dignified lives, as part of a healthy, inclusive community "
For every sale I receive through the month of January I will donate 10% to the Old Pueblo Community Services. Sales are totaled at the end of each month, rounding up to the nearest $5 to make the donation within the first 1-3 days of the following month.
For the month of December I chose the The Eon Youth Lounge. "Eon works to strengthen the lesbian, gay, bisexual, two spirit, transgender, queer, questioning, intersexed, and straight allied youth communities by creating social opportunities, providing information and support on health issues, advocating for youth rights and challenging society's perceptions of youth as they face institutionalized oppressions that target the many facets of their identities." Thanks to all your purchases throughout December I was able to donated $280 to their organization.
